New Counselor

While waiting for Crossroads to supply a qualified counselor for you two, I felt it was in ASH's best interest to start some healing of his own. I located a counselor who seems to be well qualified to assist ASH with the issues that he has brought to the attention of the school counselor and my family's attention. My husband an I are to meet with him today. There is no cost for the initial assessment. Each visit thereafter is $10.00. You will be responsible for your share of that that amount.

We have not yet resumed guitar lessons, ASH would really like to continue with that. We hope to be able to allow him to resume in the near future.

ASH is excited about going to his friend's house tomorrow after church. ASH purchased a game with his Christmas money and is excited about playing it with his friend. When these kids get together, it's an all day event.

Church

ASH really enjoys going to this new church, and is interested in volunteering with the homeless. I am not sure how we will work it out, but we will.

ASH has been put back on the waiting list for services. I spoke with the supervisor. You may want to call to offer your input. I questioned why we were told that someone had been assigned and why that individual couldn't/wouldn't get back to me when I called. The answer I was given wasn't sufficient by my standards. I would suggest you call and get the reason yourself.

ASH visited with his friends several times this month outside of the required school projects. He is well behaved and has adjusted well.

Guitar Lessons

Due to ASH's poor grades, we decided to place a hold on guitar lessons and any additional extracurricular activities. He was unhappy about having the lessons cut, however, he continues to practice. His grades have improved. We will reconsider lessons.

Crossroads Assessment

Crossroads sent a bill for $280.00 for the initial assessment. This contradicts what was said when discussing the cost with Ellen. She indicated that the first visit was $140.00. Please contact them to pay your portion.

Crossroads suggested a counselor for ASH who has refused to return telephone calls. I have recently been in contact with the assigned counselor's supervisor to complain about the lack of response. She assures me that this will be rectified and is willing to help find another more suitable therapist.

ASH had a his assessment with Crossroads on October 10, 2007. The intake specialist made some general observations regarding ASH. She advised that a counselor would be assigned based on her observations, the requirements and on expertise.

You are being formally asked to not attend the appointment as it does not begin your much needed therapy sessions, as it is an intake appointment that does not include therapy for anyone. You need to set up your own intake appointment, independently. You actions have already begun to create a stressful situation. There is no court order stipulating any of the allegations that you are making. Please cease and desist. Stop continuing to provide misinformation to individuals as it makes progress virtually implausible. This is a purely voluntary attempt on my part to help you and this child. Please begin to act in the best interest of this child and do not continue to be so forceful in executing your desires, wishes and fantasies.

Web log Basics for Regular Communication read each category regularly. The categories include; School, Medical, Activities, Conduct etcetera. The entries are by date. The first date appears first. The calendar on the side has selectable dates so that you may "jump" to those dates to read posts written on those dates.

When you choose to reply to a comment on the web log, click the link that reads "post a comment," or "reply to comment" each is currently in white type font below the selected entry. Once selected, a "pop up" box appears. It is not necessary to indicate an email address or a homepage, nor is it necessary to include your first and last name. It is preferred that you use initials when referring to me, ASH or yourself. If you are incapable of doing so, please refrain from using last names. Once your message has been typed, insert the numbers into the "verification" box at the bottom of the comment box. Click on "preview" to preview the message, click "submit" to submit the message. Clicking "submit" posts the message to the Web log.

Saving the page to your favorites will assist you in having the page available for regular viewing. Click on the "Favorites" button on the top of your browser, and then select add. You page has been sent to your "Favorites." To select the page from "Favorites," click on the "Favorites" button at the top of your browser, scroll down to the link identifiable as the Regular Communication page on Tripod and click. Clicking this link will open the page you are attempting to select.

Please print these instructions for your reference so that you may become more self sufficient in communications involving ASH, and ensure that you begin protecting him and his privacy.  The local community college, the local career centers and public administrations offer classes on computer and internet literacy.
